If you have fetched up here, chances are you are looking for a web designer. And most people search for their ideal web designer. I think you have found him.

Miles was surprisingly insightful when it came to understanding what was required for our new website. At the time, we wanted to elevate our brand to a higher level and Miles seemed to instinctively know what we needed to do.

We receive regular plaudits from key stakeholders such as the Scottish Government and European Commission, and more importantly from fund applicants - the principal users.

Miles has been a pleasure to work with. From the start, the procedure and cost were explained very clearly. He is completely open, unambiguous and transparent with his pricing.

Here’s one typical comment from the communications manager of a large public body: ‘The new website looks bloody fantastic. Really clear, crisp and very personal. Totally different to just about every other site that's floating about. Cracking good stuff.’

Managing Director, Sure PR

We are absolutely delighted with our web site. We receive numerous trade compliments on ease of use and the overall quality of the site. Miles delivered exactly what we were looking for (probably more if I'm honest).

Sometimes I think he understands what his clients are trying to achieve better than they do themselves! A bit like a sixth sense which means he goes right beyond the brief and produces results which are truly inspired...

Flying Solo website design. Broughty Ferry and beyond.

I'M SCOTTISH. I'M A WEB DESIGNER. These days I'm based in Scotland. And I design pretty cool websites (read this, then try clicking the links above). Thing is, although I'm in the north-east of Scotland, you don't have to be.
I have design clients throughout the UK, plus, for a little variety, Switzerland and Romania.

The point is, it doesn't really matter where you are - if you've got some cash to spend on a website, I'll grab it an interesting project, distance isn't an issue.

Current Design Projects. Yours (hurrah...) Mine (boo, hiss...)

FEBRUARY 2010 I've been working on the new version of this site. Easier said than done. Designing stuff for yourself is really, really difficult.
I've reluctantly come to accept I'm the world's worst client.

Fortunately I've usually got lots of other design projects to distract myself with. Currently in various stages of disarray production are new sites for HUNTINGTOWER LODGE (awaiting final pics), THE CRESS CO (working on wireframes), The Movement Studio (design revisions), ENERGEN BIOGAS (awaiting copy) and some stuff that's still secret (shhh...). Plus a couple of logo/identity proposals.

Even so, I'm currently looking for more though (otherwise I'll have to finish this) so get in touch now.

So what happens next?

IF YOU'RE NOT SURE exactly what you're after - or more likely, what's possible, or cost-effective - get in touch and we can sort out what would be good for your customers.

One of the things I'm really, really good at is viewing a website from a user's point of view - whereas to be honest many clients try to build a site for themselves. In my experience - and I've being doing this since before some of you could say 'www' - the two are very rarely the same thing.

Call me on 01382 731916 and we can have a chat about what you need, how much it might cost, how long it might take and why I'd almost certainly rather build your website than mine.
